Every golfer you know and love, whether they are a hardcore golf enthusiast or the casual golfer who plays a few times a year, has a golfing bucket list! Yes, every golf player’s bucket list has the normal things in it like make a hole in one, hit a 300-yard drive, and break 80 for the first time! But – what about the bigger things like bucket list golf courses and great golf trips that are “must do’s” before your time is up? Or maybe even an ultimate golf experience like meeting Tiger Woods? We’ve done some research and spoke with some of our golfers here at National Hole-In-One, and here’s what we’ve found!

Bucket List Golf Courses:

golf-coursesLet's dive into some options for the top courses that should go on your bucket list!

First and foremost, the one course that should be on your bucket list and an all-around great golf trip, list is The Old Course at St. Andrews, also known as “The Home of Golf!” It’s considered the birthplace of golf, and it’s where the game was first played over 600 years ago. So, why wouldn’t it be one of your bucket list golf courses? When planning your next vacation to Scotland, make this a stop!

Next on the list for bucket list golf courses is the Augusta National Golf Club in Augusta GA. It is considered one of the most famous and exclusive golf courses in the world! Which is probably why The Masters is hosted there every year! We may be partial because our headquarters is in Georgia, but this is definitely at the top of our list for bucket list of golf courses!

Another great option to add to your list of bucket list is Pebble Beach Golf Links in Pebble Beach, CA! It is notorious for being one of the number one rated public golf course in America, and it has hosted six U.S. Open Tournaments which is more than any other course over the last 50 years. So, don’t forget to make a stop during your next trip to California!

Last on our list for bucket list golf courses is Cape Kidnappers in New Zealand! You can indulge in all things luxury when you make you way to this golf course! Talk about the ultimate golf trip. You’ll be able to enjoy the coastline along with rolling hills with local livestock. It was designed by the legendary golf architect, Tom Doak, and this course is a challenge for golfers of all skill levels. This is a must see if you are headed to New Zealand any time soon.

The Ultimate Golf Experiences:

Every golfer wants to experience certain things, and we have tied together some serious ones and fun ones! So, topping the list as an ultimate golf experience is the opportunity to caddie for a tour pro. Can you image participating in a golfing experience like this one? Getting down in the weeds with the tour pros and getting to recommend clubs and be alongside the actions would be a memorable experience for anyone!

Next for an ultimate golf experience to add to your bucket list is attending The Masters Tournament. It would have been amazing to see Tiger win the 2019 Masters! It is still an amazing golf opportunity to go and attend The Masters. Can you imagine the hype and getting to see the players in action? Plus, it’s the perfect opportunity to plan the ultimate golf trip!

On to the next ultimate golf experience. Have you ever seen Happy Gilmore? If you’ve seen the movie then you know. If not, that’s perfectly fine! Basically, it’s the most ridiculous wind up you’ll ever see, but if you can hit the Happy Gilmore than you have an entirely different level of skill than anyone in the pros right now!

Finally, the ultimate golfing experience would be sinking a hole in one. Yes, it’s probably considered cliché, but it is harder to achieve than more people think! There is a lot playing into getting a hole in one. The wind must be in your favor, the temperature can affect the flight of the ball, and the golfer must hit the swing of a lifetime! So really a hole in one can be argued as pure luck or true skill. Either way, this is on every golfer’s bucket list!

We know every golfer has their own bucket list. Like we said earlier, we even asked around our office to see what courses, experiences, and trips were at the top of their list! We shared the top golf courses and top golf experiences that we think every golfer will enjoy, whether they are pro or just simply an average joe enjoying the game. Either way, everyone has a bucket list! What’s on yours?
